Singapore, a bustling city.
Okay, saturday was a family lunch at equinox@ swissotel stamford. The food was okay,but the view was GREAT! 70 storeys above ground, right smack in the middle of Singapore, the bustling city.Today, learned quite a bit from sunday school. the filopino-youth lunch thing was good. The blow wind blow was so funny!!!!ahahahahahah.went to city hall after church(in hope of going to the KangXi exhibit). the queue was meandering so i gave up. walked around city hall, esplanade, suntec. Bumped into des, went home.
Going to city hall in the past 2 days, has really made me see what Singapore is today. A bustling city full of people, commerce and the like. The skyscrapers at Clarke Quay and Raffles Place. Looking at photos and hearing stories of Singapore's past and what it is now, really set me thinking.
Our forefathers worked hard to build up this city. Quoted from the plague at the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles , a certain phrase says "from an obscure fishing village to a bustling city"
How true is that statement? very much true. Singapore has turned into a bustling city, a comsopolitan city, where people come to for business, studies etc. We may just be that small dot on the world map, but inside this small dot, is the growth and change that we have gone through to become what we are today.

THURSDAY!~
Today got PE(: Played basketball with abt 15 ppl in class? super fun! haven't played in so long):had 3 teams abt 5aside. so it was terrence team VS the melvin,billy team. melvin billy that team super pro luh. got melvin,billy,elaine all this pro ppl. never knew billy and melvin could play that well.haha. terrence team lost 0-5.hahaafter that it was us(me,des,daniel,jonathan,zariel) vs the melvin team. naturally we lost too, 2-5. one of the more fun PEs ever!(:
Recess was spent in class. Bio made me sleepy. Chem was okay i guess, got sabo-ed to answer a qns because of samlim.BLEH. then sabo-ed terrence.haha.
TODAY GOT BAND!!! so band ppl went to eat lunch together. daniel super cute luh. He decided to stuff fries into his mouth.ahahaha. super funny.then we were like feeding each other fries. super stupid but (:.
BAND WAS FUN! played YMCA and March together. first prac with new main beand(sec3s,sec2s). des with joyce. me with lycia.
first time teaching them as a SL. quite cool luh.haha. i think lycia's not bad although definitely need to work oh tone(articulation), joyce on pitching. quite fun luh.haha. i think she kinda understood what i meant? my method of teaching like different from the usual so i hope she got what i meant? once joyce pitching is good, we can work as one section instead of like 1senior-1junior. Lets go ppl!(:

TUESDAY!
Today was a slack day. Math teacher not here, wulaoshi missed the 1st period. also, geog was watching slumdog millionaire so yea, quite slack.
after sch, waiting for voting to start, was in class with jonathan and deon discussing abt e3 chalet and its activities. it will be fun(hopefully)! U ppl must go okay!!!dicussed, diverted from the topic, went back to topic. quite fun luh.
hope i can stay over for chalet,if parents allow.
after that went to vote. Had no probelms voting for 5, but then last one i couldn't decide so i just kinda put whatever i thought would do. slacked around, sang songs with ginko and joelle.
bus-sed home with ginko,lucas and weijian, who was acting like a child on the bus.

LEFTY.
today was normal, Social Studies was sleep-inducing. the day went on as it normally would.CL wulaoshi not here so we kinda took the period to do a-math.
went for band announcements and there's band doing the holidays cos of the august performance. is that good or bad?
when leaving, daniel was like : join my company/club.
des: what is it?
daniel: lefty!
me: protests strongly.
when leaving school, saw samlim, was like " i dislike leftys, in particular, that one" points at samlim. irritating luh he, keep on suaning. the rest sorta not so bad already then he always suan.BLEH.
surname is there so as not to get mixed up with samlee.

monday.
it was monday today. lessons were norm. Mr Toh was funny during FC. for the first time, i actually did physics spa right, in the first try.YES!((:got home,watched the last episode of drama. Played guitar. Frankly, i've been not really playing these days. Firstly, cos of exams and other stuff. also, don't know what to play. got motivated again and is playing(: chords are not much probelm , but i have a problem reading tabs effectively. anybody can help?
i want to learn to play the drums too! thinking of asking benj or cousin to teach, but dunno leh. cousin like always busy. benj, i don't dare ask.haha. i have bad phyco-motor skills. Cousin tried to teach once, but once i added my foot, i got mixed up. BLEH.

Its sunday today!Learnt abt Saul's conversion. Thought about a lot of things.
TZ was planning for Filpino outreach. Doing games with bro, gladys, sherine and sam. quite funny luh, the blow wind blow demo.haha
went to PP after that. got home, stoned.
went to wilfred's blog and saw their band vids. not bad. go get a bassist! or get someone to within ur band that is not playing any instrument thus far to learn! u'll sound better. JYJY!
I look at you and all i see is a look of disappointment. Don't be like that, please.

overview
Yesterday, went to play table tennis with winnie,chun hou,jon, wilfred and sam. there were e5 ppl there too. FUN!(: the so-called noobs, sam and ch, are not noobs. jj kept playing with this irritating boomerang thingy. but it was fun, playing table tennis again(church one not counted) was good and great fun. brought back some memories of pri sch table tennis.during pe, played badminton with zariel,des and winnie. thanks to endorphins release. i think we were mad, particularly me.haha. singing and playing badminton, we probably looked like mad ppl.
today has been quite a good day too? sch was ___. was falling asleep during physics(sorry mr toh), but i remember the lesson okay. convection, only occurs in fluid(liquid and gas), the explanations and drawing of convection current.
tuition was not bad too. managed to complete logarithm (up to the laws, ex2.7) its actually quite fun. haha. all the log,lg.ln. haha.i'm kidding.

my 301th post
this is my 301th post. its come a long way since sec1.looking back at my blog entries from before till now, i think i have matured quite a bit? from end-year of 2007 to now, mid2009. i've found new friends, learned more stuff, matured spiritually and stuff. that's good i assume? but i lost some things along the way too. lost contact with friends, lost what i'd call child-like innocence, to not divulge further into matters and just think simply.
No matter what from the past we perhaps miss or relish, God has a purpose for us and thus everything is in His plan and is His Will.
okay, snapping out of reflection mode, got back more results today. failed geog but passed overall combined humanities. failed el compre but the other 2 components were quite good so i think i should pass.
To say i'm not disappointed would be a lie. it doesn't matter. I'd climb up that ladder, i may stumble along the way, but i'll continue to climb. mantain the good, improve the bad. That ladder would most likely be a difficult one to climb masked with difficulty(focus in studies, difficult chapters etc) along the way. if i were to draw a ladder now, i would be very much the near the bottom and what i want to achieve is so much. I'd just have to work harder and smarter. To people who are in the same predicament as me, let's work hard and smart together.after all, the Olvls are the main goal the final gate to cross and out of sec sch.

It has been a great day, but i'm super sleepy.morning woke up at like6plus then trained to ciy hall to meet samuel and martyn. went to the dry run thing. i guess it was quite fun. they provided lunch but martyn was still hungry so we went to LJS so that he could somemore. Hilarious how he could eat so much.haha cousin. after that, went to Swee Lee( its a music shop) so that sam could get some stuff for his friend's birthday.
trained to kembagan for violin. I refuse to admit that i have logistics problem, mr cheng!
then after that went to church for choir
THANK YOU SAM! for carrying the violin for me the whole time((: greatly appreaciates it, although i doubt u'll ever see this.

Disatisfactory Results.

Got back some results today. I guess its like from jasmin's blog a bittersweet affair.
Math was good. Chem(nothing to be proud of) but still a marked improvement from summary test.
Physics is wasted. SS is just disappointing. 28/50. Mdm kang called me up and said " why do so badly? please improve arh. will give you practices during holiday." i guess that's good?
Ms Ong says we're getting about 20sets of practice papers. My chem ain't good, so i'm kinda expecting them to give weaker students like me some form of holiday assignments then a refresher after holidays.
It'd be a homework-filled holiday?! Anyway, for the sake of doing well for Olvls(aiming for 6-8pts. so very very far from that now.) Gotta do it!
Spent the afternoon surfing websites with des, helped her with some stuff.

Post Mid-Years
Mid-years are finally over.I apologise for being a (dead corpse- according to pc) for the past month or so. the mid-years were sorta taxing.
anyway, they're finally over and i'm happy. i'm more relax and can now do more stuff that i want to.
read. go out. watch movies etc.
went out with des,cherie and then firman just now. fun time, relaxing after the holidays.
CHURCH OUTING 1/5/09 was great great great fun!! JUMPSHOTS. will post the pics later! promise.
For now, i hope that Nepal Trip and Level camp is still on.(Swine flu is more under-control now)
